In 2014, I discovered the small Portuguese island of Madeira, located on the north Atlantic Ocean, off Morocco. For each visit came a batch of pictures. If my head was full of images, so was the film roll. Mémoires d’un Paradis is the fruit of these wanderings, questioning photography as a souvenir. A dreamlike journey getting into the concepts of the origin and the future: where do we come from and where are we going to? I found clearer answers to my questions in the Nature that is so striking on this piece of Earth.
